A Family Tradition of Farming
For generations, farming has been a part of our family’s life. Our grandparents began with traditional farming, learning from the land and passing their knowledge, experience, and love for agriculture from one generation to the next.
It was this strong connection with farming that inspired Mr. Narayan Bhilare, the founder of Laxmi Strawberry Farm, to take a special interest in strawberry cultivation and develop farming with a focus on natural, quality produce.
From Traditional Farming to Modern Strawberry Farming
As strawberry cultivation continued to grow in Mahabaleshwar, our family embraced modern farming techniques while keeping the values of traditional agriculture at heart. Our goal has always been simple — to grow fresh, naturally delicious strawberries and provide customers with produce they can trust.
The Beginning of Laxmi Strawberry Farm
Around 15 years ago Mr. Anand Bhilare, son of
Mr. Narayan Bhilare took a new direction with the beginning of Laxmi Strawberry Farm at Avakali.
We wanted people to experience the farm themselves — to walk through the strawberry fields, see how the fruit is grown, and enjoy the happiness of picking fresh strawberries directly from the plant.
This idea led to our Pick Your Own Strawberries experience.
Instead of simply purchasing strawberries from a shop, visitors can come to the farm, explore the fields, pick their own fresh strawberries, and enjoy them straight from where they are grown.
For us, it is more than an activity. It is a way of bringing people closer to farming and giving families a memorable experience in the beautiful surroundings of Mahabaleshwar.
